Vladimir Rannev

Drillalians. Episode V: Vladimir Rannev

Сверлийцы. Эпизод V: Владимир Раннев

An opera series based on Boris Yukhananov's novel of the same name about the fantastical Sverlia—a country existing parallel to Earth's reality and simultaneously inhabiting three time periods: past, present, and future.

The main symbol of this civilization is a drill. Paths are laid between Sverlia and Earth: for example, one portal to this fantastical reality is Venice, the other is St. Petersburg.

Part Five. Sverlia has been assimilated into our reality. The Sverliars are semi-underground emigrants. The last Sverliars, who has become a werewolf, are trying to remember themselves. Overcoming catastrophe and undergoing a metamorphosis, he finds himself in a ghostly present-day Venice with the Sverlia Prince, enveloped in the carefree mood of the city on the water.
