In 1988, she graduated from the Moscow Secondary Special Music School named after the Gnessins; in 1994, she graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory as a musicologist and as an organist. In 1994, she interned at the Paris Conservatory.
Doctor of Arts, Professor at the Moscow Conservatory, Leading Researcher at the State Institute for Art Studies. Member of the Union of Moscow Composers and the Composers' Union of Russia, member of the Moscow Musical Society, concert organist. She was the artistic director, organist, and harpsichordist of the early music ensemble Russian Baroque Soloists. She collaborates with the Moscow Conservatory Chamber Choir, the Russian National Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan, the National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Bashkortostan, and other ensembles.
Since 2024 – Co-founder and General Director of the Association of Music Journalists, Critics, and Musicologists.
Author of over four hundred scholarly, critical, and journalistic works, including the monographs "History of French Organ Music" (2010) and "Music of France: The Twentieth Century" (2012). In 2019, the monograph "Debussy: Enigma" was published, and in 2023 – "Letters of Leonid Kogan".
