Biography

Specialist in visual studies, member of the Association of Art Critics.

Author of about 50 scholar works, including the monographs "Three Apocalypses of the Middle Ages" (2016), "Apocalypse of the Middle Ages: The End of the World, Hieronymus Bosch, Ivan the Terrible" (2018), "The Medieval Code: Hieronymus Bosch" (2019). Co-author of the bestsellers "Contemporary Art: Modernism" (2024) and "Recent Art: Beyond Modernism" (2025).

Education: Institute of Journalism and Literary Creativity (IJLC), degree in History and Theory of Literature (2008); Master's program at RSUH in Cultural Studies (2010); postgraduate studies at RSUH (2011-2015).

Teaching: Since 2012 – senior lecturer at the Institute of Art History (UNIK); since 2014 – senior lecturer, then associate professor at RSUH; since 2017 – associate professor at the Higher School of European Cultures (HSEC) at RSUH; since 2019 – senior researcher at the Center for Visual Studies of the Middle Ages and Modern Times at RSUH; since 2021 she has worked at HSE University as a visiting lecturer.

Projects: Founder and director of the humanities center "Punctum" – an authorial project by Daria Dmitrieva and Valeria Kosyakova, created to overcome the "closedness" of universities and provide knowledge to a wide audience; curator of exhibitions, for example "Special Format" (artists with autism, 2013), "Asya Flitman: Animals, People, Birds and Their Habitats" (2014), "Inhabited Sky" (2015), "Chillout art: Young Artists" (2015). Creator of the "Punctum" film club.

Gives public lectures at various venues.
