Against the backdrop of historical newsreels and drawings by Sergei Obraztsov, theatre and film legends come to life in dolls: Lyubov Orlova and Lydia Ruslanova, Charlie Chaplin and Leonid Utesov, Solomon Mikhoels and Fyodor Chaliapin. The performance is based on the autobiographical book of S.V. Obraztsov.

How was the life story of the great puppeteer who lived throughout the twentieth century, the creator of the world's largest puppet theater? The creators of the play “I, Sergei Obraztsov” open the curtain of time and present the life of the genius as a portrait against the backdrop of an era, an epic and at the same time confessional-lyrical journey through the steps of memory. An extraordinary life is told in simple ordinary words, everyday episodes: the first doll, the first love, the first creative experiences and tours... The creation of the theater, the war years and Victory Day, rehearsals and premieres, the anniversary evening of the People's Artist of the USSR and my mother's favorite song...
