About

The charming landowner Ranevskaya returns from Paris to her family estate, which is put up for auction due to debts.

The enterprising merchant Lopakhin offers to cut down the wonderful cherry orchard to rent out plots for summer cottages. But no one wants to listen to him. Instead of solving long-standing problems, Ranevskaya throws a small festive evening, spending her last money...
