Ballet dancer, premier, Honored Artist of Russia
He was born in Moscow. In 2002, upon graduating from the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (class of Igor Uksusnikov), he was enrolled in the corps de ballet of the Bolshoi Theatre.
Almost from his first steps in the theatre, he began to perform solo parts. As early as his second year working in the theatre, he was given a leading role — the part of Romeo in S. Prokofiev's ballet "Romeo and Juliet" (directed by D. Donnellan, choreography by R. Poklitaru, 2003), which he performed at the premiere of the production.
As of 2025, Denis Savin is the longest-serving male principal dancer in the ballet company (continuously since 2002).
Awards

Awards
- In 2003, for his performance as the Accordion Player in the ballet "The Bright Stream", he received a prize from the "Moscow Debuts" festival, founded by the Central House of Actors.
- In 2012, he became a laureate of the National Theatre Award "Golden Mask" in the nomination "Best Male Role in Ballet" — for his performance in the ballet "Herman Schmerman".
- In 2016, he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Artist of the Russian Federation".
